When you visit our website, information such as the URL, IP, browser type, language, and the date and time of your visit are recorded. This information is used to create web site statistics and monitor server performance, not to trace individual surfing behavior.
When you register for extended use of a software tool, we require information such as your name, affiliation, and email. IP address will be stored to provide services and monitored to ensure functionality/scalability.
We do not retain any of the results of your queries.

DNA-UTAH.ORG never shares information with third parties.
All data are stored on virtual private servers (VPS) managed by our hosting provider. All communication to and from these servers is encrypted (SSL/TLS, Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security). Encryption makes it impossible for unauthorized people to view information traveling between computers. Even though security measure are in place, DNA-UTAH.ORG is not liable for the loss, misuse or alteration of information on this website by any third party.
How long do we keep personal data?
Server logs and registration data are time stamped and saved on our servers. Server logs are deleted after 7 days. Registration data are deleted 1 year after your last use.
Cookies
Our websites uses cookies. A cookie is a small text file, stored on your computer's hard drive, which contains data that is sent to your browser from a Web server. Cookies provide a mechanism to store visitor data, during and between sessions. Third parties may use cookies when visiting our website. For example, when you use Google translate to translate our website, Google uses cookies to remember your language preference.
